Summer time...

Yay, summer is finally here and it's finally great weather here. (Although it did get a tad too hot, like 90 degrees F, a few days so far.) It's been a fun and busy start to summer...the way we like it.

We went to a Food Festival with Lucas and he rocked to the music. It was way too hot and we had to go home because he didn't like it there, but he did wear his baby earphones looking all cute.

We also went camping at South Lake Tahoe, Camp Richardson with a bunch of friends. They had a few campsites, but we decided to stay at a nearby motel since it would be easier with a baby. We went to the beach, ate lots, roasted marshmallows and hung out at the campsite. Lucas had a great time, looking at the trees in the forest and getting sand between his toes. He missed a few naps too because there was too much to see and so many people wanted to hold him. He was such a ham, laughing and smiling at our friends.

We celebrated Lucas' cousin, Bella's birthday at Nana's house. Nana got some little chicks, so that she can have fresh eggs. They were so cute. Lucas wasn't really into them, just looked and then was like..oh ok what else..

We had a few visitors this month too, which is always fun. Henry, Todd's friend from college, came up to go to a concert with Todd from Merced. It was his first time meeting Lucas.

My cousin Geoffrey and girlfriend Emily from Vancouver, stayed with us on their 5 week drive through the US. They made us a nice steak dinner on their last night with us.

We also got a visit from Todd's cousin Ashley and her boyfriend Daniel from Humboldt, who wanted to get one last visit in with Lucas before they move to New York. I didn't get any pictures this time, but here are a few that Daniel took. He is moving to New York to do his masters in photography.

Our most recent visitors were this past weekend, with Jennifer, Juliet and Maddie visiting us again this year. We had so much fun the last time they came, that they decided to make another trip out again before Juliet's maternity leave ended. They stayed for 5 days and it went by really quick because we did so much again, with 2 babies.
