he smiled at us... it was a moment we had both been waiting for since we found out we were going to be parents, and it was a moment that didn't disappoint. with one slight and sweet gesture, one beaming smile, Lucas made the connection and reflected all the joy and love we feel almost every time we look at him. (hey, sometimes its hard to feel love and joy at 4:20am when he's wailing, i just spilled the formula Alisa mixed, and just when she's mixed a new bottle, he spits up all over the clean pj's we just put him in! ;-D)
isn't he cute? and trust me, in the photo below we feel incredibly lucky. the happy family!
