It's been a sleep deprived first month and definately a big adjustment to having another little person in our life. I never knew what sleep deprivation was until now - not getting 2 to 3 hours in of sleep before another feeding. I'm getting quicker with all the diaper changing, swaddling, and swinging. Todd's been a natural at all of this. He's the one that gives Lucas his baths and they hang out watching tv, playing video games, and taking naps. We both love him to pieces.
As for xmas, it was a very special with the arrival of Lucas into our family. My parents along with my brother Alan and sister in law Marianne flew to SF to spend the holidays with us. It was the first xmas for the Chan family spent outside of Vancouver. My family stayed for 3 weeks and it was a lot of fun having them around. My mom was there to help in every way.
Lucas' first outing at 2 weeks was to Jennifer's place (Todd's cousin) for Christmas Eve brunch. It was the first time meeting Todd's extended family. Being the new worried parents, Todd had his hand sanitizer ready for keeping the germs away. Lucas did really well for his first outing. On Christmas, we hosted dinner at our place. Todd made a spectacular meal leaving everyone full and satisfied. He sure impressed everyone with his cooking skills - lucky me.
