Little personality

Loves watching tennis, basketbal (anything with a ball really).  He stood here for awhile.

Still a big fan of the swing. He's getting braver while daddy pushes him really high.

Getting a little too comfortable with the PS3.  He watches daddy play his racing games.  He says "racing racing".

Loves his snacks. I try and give him a variety so he keeps interested but i think I went a bit too far with this and his drink selection.

Lucas can now go in a floaty all by himself (with todd close by) and kick his legs to get rubby duckies and put them in the basket. My little man is learning.

Swinging on a brisk morning.
Lucas and his buddy Maddie.

Lucas hearts play-doh.

For some odd reason, he really hates toe jam. He can even say "toe jam" and needs to get rid off it.

Loves running everywhere - especially on bridges.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Lucas and I took a last minute trip to Vancouver to celebrate chinese new year with my family.  We couldn't pass up all the good food and spending time with family. Lucas is growing up so fast and 4 months seems like a long time for him to go without seeing my vancouver side.  We spent almost 2 weeks there and he had so much fun playing with his little friends and my family.  My mom made a feast for new years, about 6 dishes total - crab, chicken, vegetables, noodles, pork and more.  I better start learning how to cook (or have todd figure out all the dishes so I can pass this tradition down).

Juliet, her kids and dad along with Lucas, myself and my dad went to chinatown to see the festivities.  Lucas is pointing to the dancers on the stage.

Myra and I headed to Aberdeen Center (a big chinese mall) for the countdown.  It was a mad house!

We were also there for my niece's 1st birthday party.  My brother's downstairs was turned into a kids room, complete with bouncy house and a roller coaster.

Birthday Girl!
At first Lucas was completely scared of the bouncy house but my cousin Geoff somehow convinced him it was fun and he loved it from then on.  This is the last 15 mins before we had to go to the airport to go home.  One last bounce!

Xmas at home

This year we spent xmas in the bay area.  It was nice to stay at home and enjoy all the holiday festivities with our family and friends over here.  We love this time of year (although it's a little different from Canada because there isn't any snow) and i think with Lucas around it's even more fun.  This year I think he grasped some of what xmas is about - santa claus, presents, xmas tree and lights!  I put up the xmas tree and he was super excited about the lights and especially the bells.  He would say "ding ding" and then touch the bells and laugh.  He also helped me put up stars on our patio and whenever he saw them he would point and say stars stars.
Holiday party with Lucas' playgroup.  It's our second xmas together and getting harder and harder to get them to sit down together for a picture.

The annual Xmas party at Cheryl & Gunnar's place. Seems like the kids are starting to out number the adults.  I remember the first 1 i went too, DJ stand and dance floor.  The dj stand is still there, but the dance floor is now full of toys.

Our little tree squished in the corner.

 Merry Christmas!

We opened a few gifts xmas eve morning and headed over to Nana's house where we spent the night so we could all be together on xmas day.

Poh Poh came to visit us before xmas and we checked out Union Square and the big tree.

Christmas Eve dinner at the Beveridge's (Todd's Cousins place). Santa made a stop over to deliver presents to all the kids. Lucas wasn't too keen on sitting on his lap. Maybe next year.

The cousins in the family. They are all so beautiful!

 Shenanigans in the kitchen

We rang in the new year at the Drinan's place. Lucas would not go to sleep, even though we brought his jammies and his bed but he managed to stay up till almost 1.  He just wanted to party with the other kids there.
Meanwhile, I was drinking it up with Diana...Happy 2011!!

We took Lucas to the conservatory of flowers where they had a train exhibit. We got our moneys worth there. He loved watching them go by and ran all over the place trying to see where they would go. He says "over there!"

Candy Canes just outside our place.

In San Carlos there's 1 block that has houses all decked out in xmas lights. One of them even had snow.  Lights Lights was all he could say that night!
